A few years ago, I was exactly where you might be right now.
I was doing everything "right" on paper, but if I'm honest? I felt empty. I was overwhelmed at work. Disconnected at home. Going through the motions. I had people around me, but no one I could actually be real with. The kind of real where you admit you're struggling, you're scared, or you don't have it all together.
From a young age, fishing and time in nature were my escape. Those quiet waters taught me lessons no textbook ever could—about resilience, patience, and what actually matters. But I also experienced abandonment, rejection, and the ache of not having consistent male guidance or someone to truly see the potential inside of me.
I thought maybe I was the problem. Maybe I just wasn't trying hard enough. Maybe if I worked harder, performed better, or proved my worth, everything would click into place.
But it didn't.
It wasn't about trying harder. It was about slowing down long enough to actually be present—with myself, with something bigger than myself, and with other men who got it.
About a year and a half ago, everything changed. I reconnected with God—not in a religious, "checking the boxes" way, but in a way that felt real. And I started combining that faith with the one thing that had always grounded me: the outdoors.
Fishing forced me to be still. To listen. To remember what it felt like to just breathe. To reconnect with God in a way that wasn't performance-based or fake.
And when I started inviting other men into that—guys who were just as burned out, just as stuck, just as hungry for something real—something shifted. We weren't just catching fish. We were being honest with each other. Supporting each other. Challenging each other to stop pretending and start living like the men we were created to be.
That's what Wayfound Outdoors is.
It's not a fishing guide service with a spirituality add-on. It's not a church program with an outdoor hobby.
It's a brotherhood of men who are done going through the motions and are ready to do the real work of becoming who we were created to be
My love for the outdoors, my personal healing, my training in nature, and my journey back to faith—have all aligned for this moment. This is not just something I can do. This is the one thing I must do.
Whether you've been a person of faith your whole life or you're just starting to explore what that might mean—you're welcome here.
At Wayfound Outdoors, we believe men aren't meant to walk through life alone—and they're not meant to settle for surface-level Christianity. We help men reconnect with God, rediscover their purpose, and build the kind of brotherhood that actually holds them accountable.
We do that through three foundational pillars that form the core of everything we do:
Scripture isn't a checklist—it's the foundation. We dive deep into God's Word to discover what it actually means to be a man of faith, not just what culture tells us.
Through guided study and authentic conversation, we unpack the truths that transform how we live, lead, and love.
Your work matters to God. We help you align your career, finances, and daily responsibilities with Kingdom principles—so you're not just working hard, you're working with purpose.
Success without God's guidance is just exhaustion in disguise. We help you build something that lasts.

Our flagship 30-day transformation program combining daily Scripture, breakthrough coaching, weekly Bible study, and guided outdoor experiences. This isn't about quick fixes or surface-level change.
This is where men stop surviving and start thriving—where they rediscover their purpose, rebuild their foundation, and reconnect with the God who created them for more.
If you're ready for real transformation, this is where it begins.
Ongoing community for men who want to stay grounded after completing the Challenge. This isn't a casual monthly meeting—it's a committed brotherhood.
Weekly Bible studies keep you anchored in Scripture. Quarterly outdoor events build camaraderie and connection. And a group of brothers who refuse to let you drift ensures you never walk this journey alone.
Growth doesn't happen in isolation. It happens here.
Half-day and full-day guided trips on Rochester's best waters. Whether you're a beginner who's never held a rod or an experienced angler, these trips are about more than technique and tactics.
They're about presence—learning to be still with God. Purpose—discovering what He's calling you to. And connection—with creation, with yourself, and with the brothers beside you.
Sometimes the best conversations happen when your hands are busy and your heart is open.
People ask me all the time: "Why fishing? Why not just do Bible study in a church?"
Here's the truth: Most men don't know how to be still anymore. We're addicted to noise, screens, productivity, and performance. We can't sit in silence for five minutes without reaching for our phones. The outdoors forces you to slow down. To be present. To hear God in the quiet.
Jesus spent 40 days in the wilderness before His ministry began. Moses encountered God on a mountain. David wrote the Psalms while tending sheep in the fields. Throughout Scripture, God meets His people in the wilderness, in the stillness, away from the distractions of everyday life.
There's something about being in creation that strips away the distractions and reminds you who you are—and Whose you are. When you're standing in a river with the current flowing around you, or sitting in a boat as the sun rises over still water, something shifts. The noise fades. The pretense falls away. And suddenly, you can hear God again.
"Fishing isn't the point. It's the vehicle. It's the excuse to stop, breathe, and reconnect with the God who made you."
And when you do that with other men who are on the same journey? When you're honest about your struggles while you're casting lines? When you pray together as the sun sets? That's when transformation happens. That's when brotherhood is forged. That's when men stop pretending and start becoming who God created them to be.

I'm a man of God, a fisherman, and someone who truly loves being out on the water. I founded Wayfound Outdoors because the Lord placed a revelation on my heart to do this work.
Growing up, I didn't have strong male role models to uplift me, hold me accountable, or show me what it meant to be a man in this world. Today, I see boys and men being feminized while women are being masculinized. What I'm trying to do is put the man back in masculine.
When men lead with integrity and purpose, they begin to understand who they are and what they can accomplish. I've seen too many men who worked hard and did everything right, but still felt empty and isolated. The usual solutions weren't working. Self-help wasn't fixing it. Most guys didn't even know where to start, and they didn't want to go to therapy.
I know what it feels like to be disconnected and unsure if things will ever change. But I also know what it's like to break free. The moment I gave my life to Christ was the moment everything changed for me.
Wayfound Outdoors is my life's work—helping men stop pretending they have to have it all together. If you're reading this and feel like there's more for you than what you're currently living, I'd love to talk. Reach out, let's get you on the water, and let's figure out what's next for you.
